Chester the Serval

Interesting Fact: The name "Serval" is derived from a Portugese word meaning "wolf-deer."

Chester was an animal rescue from a Zoo breeder in Oklahoma. Less than a week old, Chester was the runt of the litter and had developmental difficulties.

The serval, an African wild cat, is a specialized hunter and has very sophisticated hearing, as well as long slim legs, to assist it in its task of hunting small prey.

Though he is smaller today than his wild relatives, Chester is healthy, loving and favors big laps and wheelchairs.

He also loves to play fetch. At times he has trouble with his depth perception, but his antics are great fun to watch.
