The Lyon Ranch

For over twenty years our family has been retraining abused and neglected animals for animal assisted therapy programs.  In that time, our creatures have touched the hearts and lives of countless people and will continue to do so for many years to come.

The Lyon Ranch, located in Sonoma, California, has taken animals into nursing homes, hospitals, adult daycare centers and hospice facilities throughout the bay area for more than two decades.  Most of the seventy or so animals housed at the ranch come from abusive, neglectful or incapable homes. The animals that can be worked with are retrained to visit patients in care facilities throughout northern California.  Though not a substitute for human relations, our animals serve many important functions to benefit the emotional and physical health of the patients.
