Norman the Watusi

Interesting Fact: Native to Africa, an adult Watusi can weigh 1600 lbs. and have horns with an 8 foot span from tip to tip.

Norman was an animal rescue from Safari West in Santa Rosa, CA.

Born Dec. 19, 2002 in a rainstorm, the calf was abandoned by its mother and was virtually dead the next day when found.

After driving to pick up Norman, we kept him in the kitchen, initially feeding him a half gallon of formula a day. He progressed rapidly, and at 4 months old weighed 150 lbs.

Norman loves to be touched and petted. And he has a cat friend that he enjoys napping with.
