What is Lyon Ranch?
Lyon Ranch Therapy Animals is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) focused on animal outreach and rehabilitation. The ranch and program are currently under the leadership of Lynette Lyon (CEO), Rebecca Kopel (Biologist), and Kellen McCallister (Operations Manager). Our team travels to schools, hospitals, summer camps, museums, television shows, corporate events, and anywhere else that welcomes animals and a love of science/nature. There are over 200 animals that call Lyon Ranch home, and a few of the ones who enjoy human interaction have become Animal Ambassadors in our outreach and therapy work.
Can lyon ranch bring animals to me?
Yes we can. Lyon Ranch has permits and insurance which allow for us to travel with our exotic and domestic animal ambassadors. We are happy to visits schools, museums, summer camps, nursing homes, birthday parties (ANY age- adults love animals too!). Our animals have even been in nativity scenes at bay area churches. The Lyon Ranch team is highly qualified and knowledgeable about the animals we work with as well as their biology and natural behaviors. Our program offers several different packages such as therapy animal, exotic animal, hoofstock (cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, mini horses), presentation, and meet and greet/petting zoo packages. The animal presentations offered at the ranch are unique from others due to the level of education each member of our team has pursued. Each presentation or appearance is customized for the audience in order to create an impactful experience.
